I've recently been discussing the structure of the Newton Public Schools Strategic Planning Teams with others. The focus has been to understand how the teams are structured and what kinds of collaboration activities are needed? This way, the virtual/online collaboration environment can augment the face-to-face collaboration by providing a place to capture, organize and share the content and activities.  

This evening I attended the first half of the kick-off meeting for the NPS? Strategic Planning Working Groups. It took place from 4-8 pm at the Oak Hill Library. At least 80 people attended--impressive turn out!

The purpose was to get members of the three working groups acquainted, grounded in some of a common vision, and to begin developing long-term goals, objectives and actions for each group.
